The Finger Lakes Pipe Band
The Finger Lakes Pipe Band was established in August of 2008 as a Grade-5 competition band under the leadership of Pipe Major Mark Cushing. Dedicated to making the best music possible in the traditional Scottish pipe-band idiom, the FLPB participates in concerts, parades, highland games and Gaelic/Celtic festivals throughout the Finger Lakes region and beyond. After successful competition seasons in 2009 and 2010, we were promoted to Grade 4 for 2011 and will compete again at Grade 4 in 2012 (see the Schedule page).
We have fun, too. A great deal of supportive camaraderie goes along with the hard work. Contact Steve Monroe (allpro@stny.rr.com) to arrange FLPB participation at your event. Or use our Contact page.
